Thirty: News Flash

I know this has been a struggle to keep up with, so I have made a decision not to totally abandon my blog, but put off writing for awhile. During the time I'm finishing up my senior year at Pepperdine, I will be posting everything and anything I'm loving here. Not only to keep track of what I'm really loving, but things I'm hoping others will enjoy and take inspiration from.

Also, I've been an avid Pinner: <CLICK HERE>

Twenty9: New Baby

I'm never willing to spend money money on jewelry with my track record.. Let's just say.. My necklaces never stay in one piece, an earring always gets lost and my rings never get around to coming out of their homes. Bracelets, though, have been better.. As long as they are able to be worn everyday (-;

I sound like a comfort slob (With jewelry instead of sweat pants)! But NO MORE!
Let me introduce you to my new (future) baby:
Jennifer Zeuner - Large Swirly 3 Initial Pendant - $264

I guess the most you've seen of this necklace would be on Lauren Conrad etc.. and one of my favorite bloggers, Blair from Atlantic-Pacific. I've had my eye on it since Lauren Conrad first wore it years ago, but I never REALLY thought about it until I saw a lady wearing one while I was working on Saturday! Seeing it in real life made me fall in love with it. And.. Start a $$$$ jar (-:

I found much cheaper alternatives, but I'm going to go for the real thing because it's something I want to keep forever.. But for those of you who think it's outrageous.. Check these alternatives out:
1. Max&Chloe West Avenue Jewelry Classic Monogram - $180
2. Etsy Kraftshop Silver Monogram, 3 Initial - $89
*Additional $10 for gold or rose gold plating
3. Carolina Clover Gold Tone Monogram Initial Necklace - $89
*Price may vary on chain length

Twenty8: Unconventional Shopping

I have been out and about Los Angeles doing some unconventional shopping. After spending two years living in a Los Angeles suburb, it was about time I venture out of this beach town and go on some adventures.

My first stop was at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I did my Google research and read reviews beforehand for educational purposes and followed the advice of many and left Malibu at seven to arrive early before all the craziness really started. It was unbelievable to see all the STUFF was being sold; it was like being at an organized junkyard.. After hours of browsing, people watching, and sifting through everything vintage, Chloe and I were ready to grab some Diet Cokes and take a nap, but I will most definitely be going back when I have an apartment to furnish.

My first vintage find (-:
I had been on the hunt for something turquoise for months and months, and the Rose Bowl Flea Market had this one booth with amazing turquoise jewelry except the prices were a bit too high for my taste.. Instead, I found this turquoise cuff at a random vintage booth that had a mix of tons and tons of jewelry. It was definitely my lucky day!

My second stop was the Barney's Warehouse Sale. A bit spontaneous and a bit late in terms of getting to the sale and calling dibs on the good stuff, but nonetheless I made it to my first warehouse sale. There wasn't much in the women's clothing, definitely more in men's, but there were couple of goods that I considered.. Amazing deal for Lanvin pumps.. And a variety of other cute, cute, cute shoes, but being a popular size seven, it was a failure. Round two will be in better preparation.

My best advice would be to shop with an open mind. I think that's the fun part about shopping at Flea Markets and Warehouse Sales.. There's no guarantee you'll find anything.

Twenty7: I've been bad..

How many breaks do I take after I promise to keep blogging? )-: I'm sorry.
Now is the time to write when I can't sleep after taking a late nap I allowed myself to take after I won a case I was a pretend lawyer for! Those previous nights of high stress and no sleep were worth it.

During my hiatus, I did have a much, much, much needed Spring Break that I literally spent every moment with my family (With a couple exceptions). I went back home to Palo Alto for a week and spent my last weekend in Merced, California, visiting my favorite cousin, Hannah!

Of course we had to go around town and make some trouble since it was Friday night and much to Hannah's dismay, I did not miss this chance to wear my new and favorite romper! This one is from Urban Outfitters and is still available. The price online is ten dollars more than I paid in store, but I love everything about it, so it is worth it. If you need me to persuade you how wonderful a romper is, read THIS!

I paired my romper with my beloved wedges from Steve Madden and I have no clue as to what they're called and they are no longer online, but they were a great find while I was working at Nordstrom this past summer. I used to work nine hour days at Nordstrom, go to summer school, and everything else and I'm pretty sure it's not normal for any shoe other than flat sandals to be comfortable the whole time.. Amazing, right? I'll never stop wearing them, but I do need to get them re-soled. It may take some time to find the perfect pair for you, but don't give up or give in to any pair that 'might do'. I waited over a year to find the right pair with the right price and when you find them, you'll know!

Lucca Couture Zip-Front Romper - $39.99
Steve Madden Riddgge Wedges - $99.95
(Not the exact pair, but still cute)
Michael Kors MOP, Shiny Golden Watch - $250

I also have a gifted Swarovski bracelet and a neon Hello Kitty silly band on (-:
