Twelve: Gobble Outfit

There are eight days until we will all be a size or two larger than we are now, but that doesn't mean we can't look cute while packing those pounds on. There is absolutely no need for expandable sweatpants even if it's a Juicy Couture tracksuit..

My family has done the big family gatherings, the invitational Thanksgiving dinner parties, and have also spent the night with just the four of us (Parents & Sis), and since Thanksgiving is not a holiday where a dress code is really enforced, it can be difficult deciding what to wear to such events. There are always going to be those who overdress and of course, underdress, so the perfect in between is ideal.

Top: Knit Sweater
A bigger sweater screams comfy and is perfect for covering up your food baby after a Thanksgiving meal. When the weather is being wishy-washy, in between seasons for instance, a sweater is a perfect alternative to throw on.

This particular sweater is from LaROK LUXE and is available at Shopbop. Not only is it big and comfy, but it also includes detailing that has been a recent trend. An earthy tone or any dark tone is also a plus.

1. LaROK LUXE Anika V Neck Sweater - $228
2. Factory by Erik Hart Oversized Sweater with Deep V Neck - $88
3. TOPSHOP Knitted Slouchy Stitch Jumper - $80
4. Forever 21 Purl Knit Striped Sweater - $27.80

P.S. Don't be afraid to buy tops in a size or two larger than what you wear. I usually go for a size large for the longer length and baggy look.

Bottom: Leggings
Leggings work as a better version of the expandable sweatpants. With this outfit an opaque pair would work best and since it is November, a thicker material would not hurt.

It is a basic necessity to have a pair of good quality pair of leggings in your closet. These are the David Lerner Basic Leggings from Shopbop, but also check out the Trouve Stretch Microfiber Leggings from Nordstrom.

NEVER wear leggings with a top that does not cover your crotch.

Shoe: Boots
Instead of trying to complicate your trip from the table to the couch for your food coma with heels and having cold toes in sandals, throw on a pair of riding boots to complete your outfit. Riding boots have replaced every shoe on the planet. Not really, but for a couple years now it has flooded the shoe market and hasn't left. If you haven't got yourself a pair, it's a must!

This particular pair is from J. Crew and I have got my eyes on them. In both black and brown (Danger).. There are many affordable options for boots out there, but make sure the leather doesn't look too cheap.

1. J. Crew Sutton - $298
2. Steve Madden Intyce - $129.95

And if you wanted to frost yourself.. Go with a simple necklace and earrings with a few bracelets stacked on your wrist. Nothing major.. Let's save that for Christmas and New Years (-;
