Five: Sunday Funday Icon

There aren't very many celebrities/fashion icons who can literally take my breath away. I have my complaints and critiques for everybody.. The Olsen twins take their sloppy, baggy look too far; Lauren Conrad plays it too safe, then takes bad risks; Victoria Beckham is a splendid dresser, but sticks to her fresh, structured look a little too much; and recently, Olivia Palermo made a bad judgment call on her hair. But then there is Miroslava Duma, who is perfect.

Other than the fact that she probably has a Birkin in every single shape and color made, she's basically everything a girl wishes to be. Born into Russian royalty, Miroslava Duma was a Harper's Bazaar editor at one point, but decided to become a freelance writer within the fashion industry. You know she enjoys her job since she actually really does not need to work and I'm sure those paychecks could not pay for her expensive taste. She is also married to a wealthy Russian gentleman and was expecting a baby boy in October, so she should have a little one running around.

What I admire about Miroslava Duma is how timeless she is. I'm sure she pulls off clothing from the runway and wears it that season, but she manages to put an outfit together that you can look back even in a couple of years and think that it was from the current season. Additionally, she is a master of proportions. With her petite frame, she manages to mix loose and fitted pieces to create a perfect balance without looking too sloppy or too put together. A popular ensemble of her's consists of a looser shirt and a fitted mini skirt with an optional jacket with the usual purse of choice and additional accessories. Even with so many elements in one outfit, she manages an easy flow from top to bottom, which she does by choosing a color palette of a few colors and sticking with it. She borderlines matchy-matchy, but somehow she manages to look chic. All the time. Can you sense my jealous tone?
